How is a Benchmark Branch different from a traditional retail branch?

Our branch structure is very much like traditional retail mortgage banking but with an entrepreneurial structure. Our Benchmark branches operate independently while partnered with a large, reputable parent company that has the resources to act as the branch’s safety net.  One of the main differences between Benchmark and other Branch companies is that we are “Core Values” based.  Benchmark makes daily decisions and only employees people based on our core values.  Our five core values are; Relationships, Positive Attitude, Dynamic, Excellence and Success.

What qualifications do I need?

Our Branch Managers need to have at least 5 years of mortgage experience.  We do credit and background checks as well on all employees.  We require that each Branch originate a minimum of 10 loans and/ or 2 million dollars in production each month.  You must be able to train and motivate employees, develop relationships with lenders, realtors and other referral sources, and solve any problems that arise in the office on a day-to-day basis. A good professional reputation and good credit standing are invaluable. Other traits that go a long way towards success are ambition and competitiveness. Combine that with impeccable integrity and a passion to excel in your work and you have a winning combination.

Where is the company licensed?

We are currently licensed in all states with the exception of, Georgia, Virginia, New York and Ohio.  We do have applications in with these states and hope to be licensed in all states by the end of 2009.
